Sosalt is founded in 1922 by a group of entrepreneurs from trapani, traditionally legal to the economy of the salt. The company since its inception, the objective is to optimize the cultivation and harvesting of the salt, without interfering with the natural ecosystem. The production potential created has allowed the company to present itself on the national and european markets. In 1989 was launched the industrial plant on an area of 20.000 sqm, of which 4.000 are covered, which allows you to perform all the movements of the process, washing, drying, storage in a closed environment, ensuring a perfect control of sanitary rules at all stages of the process. The production of marine salt, in the tradition of this edge of Sicily, is obtained by the evaporation of sea water, according to a simple method of “fractional distillation” of the craft, that allows you to accentuate the positive and eliminate compounds that are undesirable. The result is a salt rich in trace elements that are important for a proper and balanced diet. With the line of salt offers a product of the highest natural quality, which enhances the full to the ancient tradition of harvesting sea salt from sicily.
